National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building initiative that encourages police-community partnerships and neighborhood togetherness to make our towns and cities safer, better places to live.

NNO enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. It also provides an excellent opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

This year’s free family event is designed to give Oak Forest residents the tools and confidence they need to prevent crime from occurring in our community.

The event will feature:

  • Guided tours of the Oak Forest Police Department
  • The opportunity to Dunk-a-Cop for Special Olympics Illinois
  • Free giveaways and raffles (winners must be present)
  • Entertainment and refreshments
  • Activities for the kids, including horse rides, a 20 ft.-climbing wall, and The Bus of Fun.

Some of your favorite food vendors will be on site with free samples (one per customer):

Not sure where to park? The Crime Prevention Commission is offering free shuttle service from St. Damian Church and the Oak Forest Park District.  Pick up and drop off locations will be clearly marked in both lots.
