The City of Oak Forest is bringing its All Good Things Close to Home message to the Chicago Transit Authority’s (CTA) bus and rail system. The simple yet eye-catching posters and digital platform displays are designed to capture the interest of workers and employers in Chicago’s Loop as well as families traveling downtown.
“We are taking our online concept and bringing it to where the potential future home shoppers live and work,” said Community Development Director Adam Dotson. “The ads focus on recreation and transportation and direct people right to LivingOakForest.com.”
The advertising campaign includes platform posters, digital platform displays, and interior rail and bus cards with themes such as Move with Purpose, Tame your Commute and Chase your Dreams. In May, the city will roll out similar ads on the sides of select CTA buses.
The ad campaign with the CTA is part of a comprehensive three-year marketing plan, which also includes ads at LaSalle Street Station, on Metra platforms along the Rock Island line, and digital billboards on I-80 and I-294, beginning in June. In addition, the city will continue to drive interest to the Living Oak Forest website through social media, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
“Digital and online advertising allow us to switch out our message whenever we want to and customize it depending on traffic conditions or weekend events,” Dotson explained. “Ultimately, our goal is to raise the city’s profile and give potential home buyers reason to check us out.”
